Portrait
For Jason, a photographer’s most important skill is the ability to genuinely connect with people. Portraiture has been the backbone of his career, creating images that feel both personal and powerful. His approach blends considered lighting, creativity and energy to reveal authentic character. Jason has photographed politicians, actors and business leaders for global publications including The Wall Street Journal, TIME, The Financial Times, The New York Times and Bloomberg Businessweek.
During six years at The Independent on Sunday, he photographed Prime Ministers Gordon Brown and David Cameron inside Number 10. Notable sitters also include Sir Ian McKellen, Olivia Colman, Michael Bloomberg, Sadiq Khan, Helena Christensen and Ricky Gervais. His corporate portrait work is commissioned by organisations such as Deutsche Bank, BlackRock, Rio Tinto, Lloyd’s of London and Shell, delivering leadership photography with clarity and presence.
Jason’s portraiture has been exhibited at London’s National Theatre, and in 2025 he will feature in the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery for Portrait of a Nation. His work has also been highly commended by the UK Picture Editors’ Guild.
